SEW for IT! is a family-owned and operated business, selling fabric, sewing machines, and related products.  We are conveniently located (in Bells Corners, Ottawa's west end), at the south west corner of Moodie Drive and Robertson Road.  Free parking is available in the lot at the front of the store, additional parking at rear.

SEW for IT! is a Dealer of Excellence for Husqvarna VIKING sewing machines, Huskylock sergers, 4D Embroidery software.  We at SEW for IT! provide sales, classes and ongoing support to our customers.

Our Husqvarna VIKING Certified Repair Technician has been trained by Swedish, American, and Canadian service and repair experts, and factory personnel.  Ed has 15 years of sewing machine and serger service/repair experience as well as 43 years of electronics experience, and 41 years of computer experience, providing quality, on-site repair services to all levels of Husqvarna VIKING , Huskystar, and WHITE products.

Classes in sewing, serging, quilting, embroidery, and embroidery software are held in our bright, spacious classroom adjacent to the store.  Betty's sewing experience goes back to age 4. (We won't say how long ago that was).  She has been teaching sewing for 24 years.

Our fabric inventory contains over 4500 bolts of fabric including quilting cotton, children's prints, flannel, fashion fabric, swimwear, and a line of dyed-to-match knits including sweatshirt fleece, interlock, and rib.  We stock Kwik-Sew, patterns, Robison Anton embroidery thread, the entire colour line of Sulky threads, stabilizers and embroidery products, as well as serger and specialty threads, and numerous books and notions for sewing, serging, quilting, machine embroidery.

Directions

Moodie Drive exit south off the Queensway (Highway 417), cross Roberston Road and turn right into the parking lot, next to Macs.

OC Transpo, the regular 118 bus stops about 100 metres away on Robertson Road at Moodie Drive.  During the evening "rush" it stops on Moodie Drive, right in front of our store, or across the road, depending on direction. (We are in the strip mall at the opposite end from CIBC).

From the south, take Highway 416 north, exit at Hunt Club - follow Hunt Club West to extreme west end, turn right (north - this is Richmond Road but changes into Moodie Drive at the 4 lane section). SEW for IT! is the first store on the left in Bells Corners, turn left into the parking lot. (At McDonalds Parking sign).  There is additional parking at the rear.
